Hillscreek
Some of you will remember my Angus now living with my friend and her dogs and mules. He's been there about eighteen months and well settled and happy. Free to run as he wishes most of the time. He's now very muscular and strong with a thick rough coat on top of his warm soft underwear Good for any weather. We had a big snow a couple of days ago though weather not that cold - in fact just perfect for him. Here's the account my friend sent me. Guess who just Loves being outside all day in this weather. His housemates, including me, come back in after morning barn chores and enjoy a big breakfast. Not Angus. His morning duties of barking at whatever has been, is or will be crossing the patch of woods a mile to the northwest is followed by thoroughly tracking and marking every rabbit sign and fallen twig and footprint around the house. By then, his appetite might be hearty enough to express interest in having his breakfast served on the porch well away from interference from the lesser worldly endowed canines who are now settled on the softest dog beds in their warm living room.
sanford
Thanks for this beautiful update. Angus is a true weather-proof cairn down to his toenails! Ruffy does a version of Angus' routine, choosing to stay outside on the terrace all day (and night if I'd let him), no matter how cold, snowy, windy it gets. Here he is on the terrace this A.M., snuggling against his favorite toy, after breakfast and a walk: Edited November 18, 2018 by sanford 3 Quote FEAR THE CAIRN! Sam I Am
How wonderful HK! Angus has a wonderful life ...a bit of a life style like Lori used to post about Dempsey on the farm. Sam is like Ruffy..outside is way better than inside, no matter what the weather. Great Pic! Sam I Am
After a vigorous walk through slush and ice, two terriers, two different attitudes towards life in general.Rosie is very Zen like, after her walk very happy to just vegg out, of course then there is Sam. 2 2 Quote Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened. - Anatole France Adventures with Sam &Rosie
pkcrossley
I'm thinking of that as an update on both you and Angus --your present relationship is unique in the forum, but one full of honor and love. He's where he is and enjoying what he enjoys because of you. 4
hheldorfer
From time to time I've wondered how Angus was getting on. Thanks for the update! Nattie spends as much time as possible outdoors. We practically have to drag her inside when it gets dark (too many skunks around here). We call her "grandma" because she walks sooooooooooooooooooo slowly to the door, taking the tiniest steps possible. 1
