Dougal is 5 Months old

Well Dougal, the first born and runt of the litter is doing pretty well.  Just finished up his vaccinations a week ago and got micro-chipped.  At 5 months old he is a whooping 10.4 lbs.  According to a growth chart that predicts weight, it appears he'll end up just under 12 lbs., or 9% under the breed standard.

He is finally starting to mature and lose some of those irritating but humorous puppy habits.  Puppy teeth pretty much gone and new teeth coming in well.  Fortunately he doesn't destroy his toys.  He did destroy a few other things...lol.  Going to be a great  watchdog as he does have a bark that will wake the dead.  Wonderful little guy and has not at this point started to change colors.  Still pretty much black with some silver gray hairs showing on his tail.  Definitely all Cairn without a doubt.

What  a little cutie. Be glad the puppy teeth are gone. Those darn things are sharp. Malcolm has what I call the war cry. When he sees a squirrel in the tree  he lets out an ear piercing shriek. Happy 5 months Dougal.
