I am Cairn...hear me roar

Sam I Am

Recommended Posts

So this morning we went on our usual walk with both dogs. We both are very cautious of loose large dogs especially ones we have never met before. Upon returning from our nice long walk, a fellow with a beautiful German Shepard came towards us and let go of his collar. The Shepard immediately at full tilt ran towards us. My DH and I grabbed both dogs and lifted them up. The owner of the GS said don't worry he is friendly(how many times have I heard this), but the dog was well trained and his owner called him to his side. Sam in the meantime decides to leap out of my arms, where upon the GS straight away ran back to us. Sam who up till now always is in goofy puppy mode with other dogs...until coming to face with this GS. His whole stance changed, erect tail, feet spread apart, bravely standing in front of me...I am sure his Cairn brain was saying, bring it on big boy...I am a Cairn! Thank goodness the GS had perfect recall....large dog owners just don't get it. Be still my beating heart...my brave  little Cairn.
