Yes all we need in the house now is the Irish Wolfhound and the Westie! I can't let me DH see this....he will have a heart attack.

I think a Wolfhound would be perfect for the Alberta winters.  First, you'd never have to shovel a path for them; second, hook them up to a sled and you could go anywhere!

I know our house is going to be maddening come the first of July--middle daughter's husband is headed to Hawaii to set up a new household and my daughter will be here  3 months with her Cairn, her Aussie, and her Great Pyrenees!  While they are regular guests due to the frequent military orders he gets, this is going to be a test of patience for my dear wife and her vacuum.
Even with that, I wish I had a little Brodie in the mix--what a perfect little Cairn puppy face he has!!!!

Alert the media! Thanks to little Brodie, I became a minor celebrity on 5^th Ave.

* (This entry might belong in Dog Park, but it’s related to Brodie, so here it is);

Yesterday, I was early for a meeting in midtown. (Ruffy was not with me). The weather was nice, so what better way to kill time than to sit on a sidewalk bench and read about adorable Brodie on “Cairn Talk” on my phone, which I know must have spread a huge smile on my face, oblivious to the fact that I had become the subject of a photographer who was intent on catching me from many angles, capturing the attention of a number of passers-by! I was amused that he moved on when I looked up and discovered him, and then a number of people came up to me, asking - of all things - if I was “famous”, or a “celebrity”!  (This took place in a busy, posh part of town with many international travelers, tourists, wealthy shoppers and where occasionally, well-known people are spotted).

Reality set in when I arrived at my meeting and described my experience and was told: “Oh that guy!... He always hangs around here taking pix of old folks on their cell phones!

Thank you Brodie, for my New York Nano-Second of fame!

I was catching up on some of last week's posts and finally saw this.  What a great story!  I'll be chuckling all day whenever I think about it.
