What we've been up to

I haven't been posting much as we are on our winter break in Pacific Grove, California. Because Steve is off playing golf so often, Oban and I are spending a lot of time together walking along the ocean and on the beaches.  Here we were on a perfectly lovely day (yesterday) on Carmel Beach.

Carmel Beach is totally dog-friendly, full of dogs and their people, and most of the dogs roam off leash. I don't trust Oban to take off after a seagull or something else, however, so I keep him on a long lead. He does like wading in the surf.

Arggg I am so jealous! It's -28 Celsius, snowing and Rosie can't go out to do potty without her boots on. Love your place.

That looks so relaxing.  We are out picking up our corn bags.  We had 6 bags - 30,000 bu in each bag - wind blowing up our ... backs - cloudy - chilly - miserable.  Finished our last one yesterday and now the sun comes out.  Grrrr.  But you go ahead Oban - stroll along the beaches - you and your people enjoy the rest of your vacation.  We will just put on another layer if needed.

Now that is one heavenly scene.  What could ever beat a stroll on the beach during beautiful weather with a Cairn Terrier by your side.  I'm so jealous.
