Malcolm's Gotcha Day

[Malcolm's Dad]

Malcolm's Gotcha Day was yesterday. Actually the day was February 29. Not a leap year this year so the date changed to March 1.

He got extra treats during the day and a brand new kneecap to chew on. He was one busy little Cairn. Our weather has been crazy. Some days it was in the 20's and a few days it was 0 degrees. I don't take him out when it is that cold. Just let him in the yard to do his business. He comes in right away. Then there were some days in the 50's and even 60's. Time for the park. He loves the park. So many things to smell but the squirrels don't seem to be out in this cold weather.

I keep the heat down to save on the gas bill. I'll put a blanket or throw over Malcolm to keep him warm. He will get up in a few minutes. Being covered must be too warm for him.

He is 8 years old now I've had him for 7 years. Amazing how much he has calmed down as he gets older.

Crazy weather here too with leaps and bounds from 70F two days ago to 37F today and snow flurries.

How we love that they settle  (somewhat!) as they get a few years on them! We wish many more to come for the both of you.

Happy Belated Gotcha Day Malcolm.   Weather here has also been up and down, 65 one day and 20 degrees the next.   Mom doesn't take me out when it's really cold outside either, only the backyard to do what I'm supposed to do....
