Hillscreek
I was cleaning out old files and I came across this story dated 1989 that I had saved from a posting on the UK Forum. I'm sure many of us would recognize Pickles if we met him! http://www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2931
Idaho Cairns
Hills, could you copy and paste--all I was able to come up with was the UK forum sign on page!
Hillscreek
Idaho. I brought up the whole post by double clicking left mouse button. Not sure I know how to extract and copy and paste the story only, about three pages. Maybe Brad can help.

bradl
I can't access the post as they downgraded and restricted my account some years ago when they reduced access for lurkers (readers who don't post). sanford
What a sweet story... It was worth every effort to retrieve it!? I couldn't help but picture the cute Shetland ponies playing with Pickle, galloping around with Pickle hanging on to their tails with his teeth! I think this story would make a wonderful illustrated children's book. I'm sure a skilled writer could create some additional adventures for Pickle during his year away with the gypsies... hheldorfer
Wonderful story! Pickle would be Buffy's hero.
Lynn in TN
Yes it was worth it! To be honest the retrieving of it was the easy part, (I thought that would be the hard part) Turns out joining the UK forum was the hard part. I had to wait to be accepted, after I was accepted I still couldn't view the pickles post. I decided to enjoy the forum anyway and went to the new members section to introduced myself on a post, I had never been on a forum like that before so it took me a little while to figure it out. I came back to this forum and tried to click the link again and it worked this time, but I couldn't copy and paste it, when I tried to copy it, it moved so I tried to drag it to my desktop and that worked. It was definitely worth it! I enjoyed reading it. I am glad Hillscreek posted it.
Sam I Am
What a great story. I must admit while reading it, all I could think of was Jock as he had many similar traits as Pickles.? 1 Quote Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened. - Anatole France Adventures with Sam &Rosie
