Practicing for our Christmas photo

Here's the sweaters I bought for Kiara, Abbey, and Hannah for our Christmas vacation. I know, call them wimps Brad, ;) but these southern girls will find them comfortable being they seem to chill easily, at least Hannah does. I thought I'd start practicing w/ them posing so I can get that perfect picture of them this Christmas w/ snow on their muzzles. The Santa hats were the only thing that would stay on their heads. I tried antlers, but they kept falling off. I thought this came out cute and it was only my 3rd try. This picture could almost fool you into believing that they're :halo: 's, yeah, right

OMG how cute they are!!! Ha! I need to show this to my husband. He says I'm going over the deep end with these two boys of mine. I wanted to get them Santa hats too! Now he'll see how cute they'll look! I can't believe they sat still long enough for you to get that great picture!!

I'm with Brad, you must have used Crazy Glue to get them to sit still and pose like they did. So precious.

Thanks guys. I just love photographing pets! The trick I found w/ my cairns is to photo them when it's getting close to bedtime and they're getting tired. I set up the background, get their sweaters on and get them in position. I then turn on the digital and place their hats on so I'm ready to click fast. I did have to say "stay", especially to Hannah. I hold the camera w/ one hand and act like my other hand is holding a treat. They probably would have posed longer but my lab starting barking for quality time.

Thanks for looking, I hope to get more pictures of these cuties.

Wow, they actually get TIRED at bed time? Our Cairn gets wound up and excited around bed time! She'll be zonked at 8pm, but when we head upstairs to bed around 9:30 to 10:30 she thinks it's play time all over again. ;)

Beautiful picture and beautiful dogs!!!!!!!!! I'm going to try my hand at taking some pictures this weekend. Thanks for the tip...I'll see if it works better when they are tired. I'm just afraid that I'll be more tired then they are!

The girls are gorgeous in their Christmas finery! I will try getting pictures of Duffy before bed. He is one of those Cairns who conks out in the evening.
