My baby Hannah is getting spayed today.

You would think being I've been through this now w/ Kiara and Abbey, and the fact that my dh is doing the surgery that I wouldn't be nervous this time around. Hannah seems like such a baby and looks much smaller than her 9 lbs that she is. Dh scheduled to do her today being it would be slow and he could hopefully let me bring her home faster. My family is still visiting so we're off to the stores for a couple of hrs because once Hannah comes home, I'm staying close to her. I'm hoping Hannah won't have to wear a collar and will leave her incision alone like Abbey did.

Please keep positive thoughts for an easy surgery and a quick recovery for my baby Hannah.

Thanks,

Beth

Don't you worry, toomanypaws. Your baby is in good hands and will be just fine. It must be wonderful having a dh be a vet.

I know it will only be a few more months before Elliott is neutered and I'm already feeling the anxiety. Shopping sounds like an excellent way to take your mind off worrying. Actually, shopping is excellent in itself!

Keep us posted on Hannah's recovery and enjoy cuddling her when she comes home.

Toomanypaws, it doesn't matter if it's the first time or the tenth - it's your baby and you'll be worried. I'm sure she'll be fine, but we'll all keep a good thought for her - and for YOU!

I will keep my fingers crosssed that Hannah comes through with flying colors. I worried when my two were spayed. Hugs to baby Hannah and her mommy!

You have our good thoughts, toomanypaws. We too worry every single time, even if there's no real need to. It's amazing how vulnerable we feel they are, given how scrappy they are on their own terms. Just shows how deep they worm their way into our hearts, I guess.

You guys are all so fantastic! I love the support I receive here! Hannah is doing fine. I stopped in to see her after shopping and she was just waking up. She looked so tiny and was shaking which was hard to see. The techs were all going crazy over her and one was staying w/ her making sure her blanket stayed on her and comforting her. Dh kept her w/ him and will be bringing her home real soon. :) All I want to do is be home for her tonight.

Hannah is doing great! So far she hasn't tried to remove her staples, but I am rubbing Banguard on her incision. She loves taking her medication for pain and antibiotic. She's bouncing back really fast.

Thanks for asking. :)

Bella goes in for hers Tuesday, December 14th at 9am. Guess we have to stop feeding and watering her on the 13th at 9pm.

We've never done this before!
