Picture of my little Hannah at 6 mths

You would think that I wouldn't have enough love to go around for 3 cairns. Not only do I have enough love, little Hannah has really found her place in my heart. Those of you that remember that song, "Me and My Arrow", well I sing "Me and My Hannah", "wherever we go, everyone knows it me and my Hannah." Out of the 3, Hannah would rather be carried around all day, a definite miss priss. I thought this was a cute 6 mth picture of her surrounded by dd's stuffed animals.

Okay, I'll admit it took me a couple of seconds before I found Hannah :P in the pile of fur and yes, she is a doll and I'm with you, toomanypaws. I also have enough love to go around for my three Cairns.

I feel a little guilty saying this but is it wrong to feel more bonding/connections with one over the others? I love all my dogs but with Madison, who's sensitive and a sweetheart, I find myself communicating with her the most.

Winnie is older, 11 + and has always been a "I am who I am, take it or leave it" kind of dog. I adore her as does everyone who knows her but she isn't the most affectionate of Cairns. She's set in her mind with what she wants to do and she does it. But she has always been the easiest to train, almost has human qualities when it comes to any discipline and she's a devoted part of our family. I do find myself missing her puppy ways and youthful energy and it's hard to see your dog age and know there is nothing you can do about it......kind of like seeing MYSELF age

Then there's the puppy Elliott. He is a cuddly kind of fellow and although he loves the girls, he seems to be a mommy's boy :) and has the personality of a superstar. I adore him. He's still so young that training is 75% of his day and the rest is fun and play. What can I say?

I love them all equally but in different ways.

Bottom line is that I could easily have 3 more and be a happy camper (a camper is exactly what I would be if I brought home one more dog...) :banned:

Such a sweeeeeeet picture! She looks just like Scout!

I know what you mean about relating to your dogs differently. Scout is more layed back and is not a lap dog. She enjoys laying next to me, very close, but not on my lap. Finch would be happy if she could lay in my lap 24 hours! She's a "kisser" and contantly "kisses' my cheeks, neck, arms...lol!
