Elsie is Dempsy's helper.  Dempsy doesn't like dealing with the calves - that's Elsie's job.  As you can see in this pic Dempsy is ignoring that animal to his left.  Dempsy's specialty is with the cows.

Wow that is amazing. Elsie sure is a little mom, taking care of the babies no matter what kind they are. What a little sweetheart.

Cairns do have this special way of relating to other species when they perceive those are important to us.

Great job sweet Elsie and Dempsey.
