Can Cairns / Dogs reflect depression or feelings of their owner?

Yes! Dogs are very in tune with you, emotionally. But they can always pick you back up again. When I'm blue, Zekey has a way of coming over and just sitting with me, being there for me. And then he or Gavin will give me a silly look that just makes me laugh.

Absolutely. Even young Angus knows how I'm feeling. That's one of the great things about your cairn. And any other dog I've owned has been the same.

Well, because fonzy is my dog and he represents me and he so outgoing and wild ( that is what I am) and my mom has a shitzu dog, but it is very sad looking and looks depressed all the time. so I figured maybe my mom is a little depressed and sad.

As in they both represent my mom and I very well though ;)

Sometimes the shitzu is very happy (when my mom get's happy).

It's so cool how they can relate like this I guess it is true.......... glad you both have that deep relationship with your cairn, I don't ever want to lose mine :(
