This morning our vet called with the best news we could possibly get: The mass on Murphy's toe was an inflammatory response to the grass awn. No mast cells or cancer cells of any type were found. T

Wishing for you to get the news back fast and for it to be all good news. If they gave Murphy a camel hump of fluid, it'll last a couple days, but I bet the meat in the water will work!

thinking good thoughts for you. of course it is hardest to keep calm. but whatever it is you probably got to it early, and you did the right thing calling the vet right away. all that counts.

Very great news ! It's amazing how these creatures capture your heart. They give unconditional love and they deserve it in return. I'm so happy to hear Murphy is on his way to a complete recovery. Hugs

Yay for Murphy! Great news. It's crazy to worry so much about these sweet babies, but here at this forum it's ok to be crazy....we sure aren't alone and the outpouring of this crazy love sure doesn't hurt either. So glad to hear the good news.

Thanks so much everyone! I will be so glad when Murphy's stitches are removed Friday morning as I think he is really starting to itch as his fur grows back in. I have taken off work a lot just so he can be without his "cone" for long periods of time during the day. And, yes, I even scratch that leg for him right above the paw! It has been such a pleasure to spend more time with our little munchkin! :hug:
