Brodie has a new buddy !

Brodie's buddy

Recommended Posts

 we have a new family member. I am so excited I had to share!!! He is 8wks old, Brindle, and soooooooooo cute and sweet! His name is Aidan. He is doing so well on potty training, and sleeping pretty well at night. Brodie has good times, when he plays with the pup, and then  jealousy comes through and he plays a little rough. ;) I have to keep a close eye on him. I know he wants to make sure I still love him, especially at night.....he has NEVER snuggled soooo close in bed before. OF course I am giving him lots of special, just-Brodie-time too. I have enrolled Brodie & me in an obedience class to have a special time and of course to learn more obedience. Even though he is really good already.

Congrats on the new baby, but we cairn parents want to see pictures.! :P I'm up to 3 cairns now and I still get so excited over someone getting a new puppy. It's my dh and my anniversary tomorrow and he asked what I want. I teasingly said that I guess it can't be another cairn. :D Honestly, 3 is enough but I honestly love these interesting little characters. They're the first little dog I've ever owned and I'm quite intrigued w/ them.

Congrats on your new friend. I love the name Aiden. I can't wait to see pictures!!! Oh, and toomanypaws, I have been hinting to my husband that the perfect Christmas gift for me would be another pup! So far, he's not inclined to agree, tho!

Congrats on the new baby! I would love to get a

second. Our "baby" is 3 years old and the love of

our lives. I think he would love a baby sister. I

can't decide whether to do it or not. :( How did

you decide to add to your family?

Congrat on your new "baby"! I would love to see pics. :)

grillywarren, we decided to add another Cairn to our household when Scout was 2. We felt guilty leaving her home alone while we were at work and she wanted constant attention when we were home. Adding Finch to our family has been the best decision! They play together constantly and keep each other entertained. The only difficulty we have is trying to pet TWO dogs in our laps at the same time! Oh, and it can be done! LOL!

Grillywarren,

I tell people that I "got a dog for my dog." :-) It's true. My Cairn (Abby) absolutely adores other dogs and I felt it was unfair to her not to live with another being of her own species.

Geez, did I get banned or something - it won't let me log in - but that didn't stop me!

Congratulations on your new baby and I can't wait to see the pictures. After seeing all the pictures of these adorable Cairns I would love to have another one. After yesterday though, I don't know if the old heart would take it. :D

Many happy years with Aidan!

Thank you so much for your congrats, I am just so excited to have another baby. It was a hard decision, I went back and forth for quite a while. :( should I ?, should I not?) I felt like I was being unfair to Brodie, leaving him alone while I was at work. I come home EVERYDAY for my lunch hour, to spend time with him and to let him be outside for a bit, but he was getting where he didn't get so excited to see me at lunch, it was like he was saying...so what, I know you are leaving me soon. But in the evening when I get home, he knew I was there to stay, and he got real excited. I felt he needed someone he could eventually have to hang out with(after the potty training) I was going to get a girl, but when I went to see the puppies, the girl wasn't very personable, and this little guy loved attention andwas very alert, ect... so he is now my Aidan. (Brodie is neutered, and I more than likely will neuter Aidan too.) I will have to try to figure out how to post a pic. Thank you. Brodie's buddy.
