T-REX
No better way to introduce myself to this forum than this song : d'you know it ? I love my dog as much as I love you But you may fade, my dog will always come through. All he asks from me is the food to give him strength All he ever needs is love and that he knows he
MikeC
Hi T-Rex! Welcome to the Forum. I was sort of a Cat Stevens fan, but don't remember this particular song, but then again I barely remember what I had for dinner last night! Love the lyrics though and I'll bet it had a great tune. I personally don't . Any way , the "dogs in lyrics" game would be a good game . Each day you'll have to find a new song containing "dog" or "dogs " in its lyrics . would you participate ? here's my today's title :" Dogs of war " by Pink Floyd . chichi3
As long as we're getting artistic here's a lovely poem from American poet laureate Billy Collins. It's titled "Dharma". What a beautiful sentiment he expresses which I feel we can all relate to about our "kids" . The way the dog trots out the front door every morning without a hat or an umbrella, without any money or the keys to her doghouse never fails to fill the saucer of my heart with milky admiration. No, I don't think dogs are sick , and the song really has nothing to do with dogs per se, just popped into my head. So do you have a Cairn??? Guest abbycairn
T- Rex, I listen to Cat Stevens every once in a while on the radio in the UK. He does a religious message spot every once in a while on BBC 2 radio. He's a Buddhist monk at a temple in North London. Stacey (Also liked his tunes!) Mama Kim
Piper's song of the day today: Hair of the Dog -- Nazareth. BTW, is it any coincidence that Piper was born on April 13th, Aerosmith Day in Massachusetts, and that her sire's name is Tyler?? Hmmm, I think not.
