We just got our first Cairn Terrier, she is 2 months old. So far she is getting along with our 6 month old Beagle very well.

we do not have a name for her yet, but here is a picture, any name suggestions or comments are welcome.

PS. she is female.

Hi Cafrow

Welcome to the Forum. What a beautiful little girl she is. :halo: I don't know why, but the name Chloe came to mind. A pretty name for a very pretty little girl.

Hi Cafrow,

I took one look at her and thought "Sophie" or "Gracie". I also have 2 puppies in my home. When I brought home my 3rd cairn at 6 wks, I already had a 7 mth old cairn pup. The two of them have become great playmates. They are now 4 mths and almost 10 mths and it's been great.

Glad you found this forum. Let us know what name you decide for your cutie.

well it is really not up to me on the name. My wife gets to choice the name this time. My Beagle's name is Vega, it is short for Vegas. We got the beagle on our 1 year annevursiry and we got married in LasVegas, so that is why we choice that name for the beagle.

this site is pretty cool, not sure how much I will be able to post here as I am leaving for the army bootcamp oct 5th, but I can tell my wife about this site and get her to start posting on the forums when she has time.

PS. this puppy is very stuborn, she refuses to pee outside, we walk her out every 2 hours and she does not go, just walks around in the grass and plays, then when we get inside she likes to go.... but it is only the first day so we will have to see how it goes.

Do you know what all these puppy pictures are doing to me, eh? Oh, how I want another one!!

I love the name Taffy and Chloe too. Then there's Jasmine...Jazz for short. I always try and name my dogs with something that has a nickname in there. Madison is Maddie, Winefred is Winnie. Your pup will do something unique and you'll come up with a name that will fit her to a tee.

Congratulations on your new pup, she's a sweetheart! :halo: Like kids, you wish you can keep them little like that forever!

My husband named our Cairn Scully (true name is Special Agent Scully - from the X-Files), as I've worked for the FBI for almost 32 years. Someday we'll have to get a boy and name him Muldaur (sp?).

You've got some great choices from our resident moms and dads. Welcome to our little home away from home. Most importantly, thank you for your service to our country!

I happened to see a commercial tonight for the Army and this popped into my head. Based on your military training, how about Liberty and you can call her Libby for short.

Okay, commence laughing! :lol::lol::lol:
