Bully Sticks

Nena

Recommended Posts

Well we just tried our first odor free bully stick and Nena was in heaven. I hesitate trying them before because she gets sick from rawhide, etc. But the store owner assured me that she would do fine with them and she did. I have also read previous posts how much all your dogs love them. You can image how she ran around the house carrying it for a while. She could not believe we let her have it I guess. Then she settled down and chewed and chewed for 2 hours. I guess her jaws got tierd so she ran around looking for a place to hide it.

So my question is where do you all like to buy them? they sure are expensive and now I have to keep buying them. Nena is hooked

We have a Bully addict here and find them at a local pet store. We started buying the 36" one and chopping it down to 8 or 9 little one's. Our store has them for $9.99 which is a lot cheaper than buying one small one for $3 or $4. If your local store carries them this way I would suggest going that route, but just a warning that you will need a hacksaw to get through the thing :)

I've also seen them online but mostly in bulk packs for atleast $100 or single one's for about the same price as our stores, but I'm sure others know of places.

We get Murphy's odor-free natural 6" bully sticks from onlynaturalpet.com. They are a little expensive but she only gets one a week and I only let her eat 1/2 of it at a time. She's tired of wrestling with it by then anyhow. Also, I feel good giving her a quality bully stick.

If I remember right, a pack of 10 6" sticks is $32.50 or thereabouts.

I buy from bestbullysticks.com when the supplier at the flea market doesn't have any. We're luck that our fleamarket has a pet supplies vender who carries 6" Merrick sealed bully sticks, and when she has them I pay a dollar each...LOL I Normally buy as many as I can tooo... I'm not the only one in the area that is on to her too... it's gotten to the point that you have to get there before noon on a saturday to get any.

But when she is out, best bullysticks has some good deals. I don't know about the odorless ones... I haven't tried them...

Long live the bully stick!!!

I also buy on bestbullysticks.com. If you go that route, get on their newsletter, they run specials all the time. It seems that their sticks are fresher than Costco sticks and some pet stores I'v tried.

We like to use them when someone comes to visit, so Taz is "pre-occupied" and not jumping all over the place.

We get ours at our local pet store. We buy the triple-braided 12" sticks for $10 each, and cut them into 3 pieces. (Hubby has to do it with an old, big knife and lots of muscle. I could never cut the triple-braid myself.)

We give Molly 1 piece per week. We used to give her 2, but it was getting expensive, and now we rotate with marrow bones. Both keep her occupied for quite a while.

Little tip for the bully sticks - Pegi is pretty fussy - when I get to the last few sticks she's not interested. I tried scraping the ends against a cheese grater and presto - she went nuts. Not sure what odor she could smell, but it did the trick.

I wanted to thank you all for the great information on where to buy bully sticks. She just loves them and bestbullysticks was a great price and product. I bought one at the pet shop until the online order came and I paid more than double for the same product.

We can't believe how much she loves them she can chew for 2 hours until she has to give up. I got the 12 inch size and that works good. We have to take it off her after because she will run around the house crying with it in her mouth trying to find a proper place to hide it. Which she can never find so she gets so stressed out we take it off her and save for another day.

I feel bad I never tried them sooner.
