Guest osuvicki
I just thought I would mention it if anyone is looking....I hunted high and low for a nice dog bed for Grace and finally found one at Pier 1. Beautiful wicker beds with caste iron legs and demin cushion. Grace loves it. She sleeps in her crate at night right now...but naps in the bed in the living room when I am watching TV and the plan is to move it to the bedroom someday when she is completely trained and can be let loose at night...... And the beds are 25% off right now!
kayharley
Sounds wonderful but I know wicker wouldn't last 2 days in my house.
toomanypaws
Wicker beds? My 3 yr old Kiara would love one but 8 mth old Abbey would be in her glory chewing up the wicker. For now the two of them have matching beds that I bought from Pet Supermarket. Abbey still goes in a crate at night but they both sleep in their beds during nap time. It's cute when all 3 nap and Hannah squeezes in w/ Abbey. Guess she'll need a bed soon. Now, here's the bed I'd love to get the girls but to get each of them one, it would cost me $1350. The Madison Bone motif bed is finished in a pearlescent pewter. Reversible designer cushion. 34 <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/maiwag/terriersiggy.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" /> Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
Guest osuvicki
toomanypaws....that bed is beautiful! And I thought I spoil my baby rotten. lolol. I watch Grace and never let her chew the wicker...and some day...some day...she will grow out of chewing. And the Pier 1 bed is only $50.00 on sale....just a "little" less expensive than your dream beds.....lol. I also accidently found something out the other night. A male friend put a dab of red wine on her nose...since she was sniffing his glass. She HATED it and sneezed and tried to clean her nose off for 5 minutes. I have been experimenting since and anything I put a dab of red wine on.....she will NOT chew. Not sure the 1/2 life of the dried wine smell.....but worth experimenting further with. Guest Guest
Mamma Kim...my 13 year old cat won't allow Grace on the bed! He has staked his claim on the bed and I can't really blame him......he has served his dues. That is why Grace needed a nice bed all her own. Mama Kim
I understand. After 13 years, the cat has seniority. Piper is our only pet, so she rules the roost. Toto times 2
Do you have Ikea where you are? I got wonderful wicker beds (the round wicker not the sharp stuff) there really reasonably. I have two sizes and the funniest thing is our tiniest cat sleeps in the big bed. Guess we know who's boss here.
MikeC
I love the look of Wicker, but like toomanypaws little one, Duffy would have have in shambles in less than a day. I had a wicker remote control holder that I left on the coffee table the other day and Duffy, being the climber that he is, got hold of it while I was in the kitchen and within 10 minutes had one end of it demolished. He has one of those foam beds that we keep in the living room for him (his crate is in the bedroom) and he like that because he can bury his treats in it.
