Marty & Sherry
Last night we enrolled Emmy in a confirmation class & Mac (the Westie) in a Rally class. They both did well in the basic obedience class last spring so we decided to go for it. We are sure Mac will do great but we are a little concerned about getting Emmy to focus. She is pure Terrierist to the bone. We aren't expecting to win Westminster or even champion her. We are just wanting to be involved in something with them both and have some fun. We'll probably run her through the Rally class this winter too. BTW, I did get a little on the terrier bias last night. As I was signing Mac up for the Rally course the gal said "Oh boy, a Westie". The tone of voice let me know what she thought. I didn't say anything. I just plan to show her through action that a terrier can be just as good at Obedience as any other breed. bradl
Congrats to you. Doing things with your dog is wonderful for them and for you. Take the long view and you'll both have a blast.
