It's not required to disclose your location by any means, but it is helpful and interesting (and sometimes useful) to know approximately where Cairn folks are when reading posts. Please consider adding your location to your forum profile.

To add your location to your profile, use the My Controls link, look on the left for the Personal Profile section, choose Edit Profile, and put a location in the Location field. You can be as general or specific as you like: City or State or country or continent

you bring up an excellent point. Often the information offered in response to a question should be influenced by the location of the person seeking the information. Problems that are common in one region may be rare, or non-existent, in another. Flooding the information seeker with information irrelevant to their region may distract them from more helpful information.

Maybe this request could be posted in a more prominent location.
