We have had our Cairn for about 2.5 weeks, he is now 10 weeks old. He has had terrible diaherra & bloody stool, off and on over this time. The breeder advised this is normal for a puppy to adjust to his new surroundings. She said it could be the water, so he now gets spring water, and not from our municipal tap. I did change him to puppy food, after I brought him home, but has been on that for the most part. The 1st week was terrible, even in the crate. Then over night, no problems, all seemed to be resolved, however....we are now back to a messed crate and very bad diaherra. Is this normal? How long am I to expect this?

Sheri, I have a Cairn about two months now. I've never had the bloody stool problem. I think I would get your puppy to a good vet as soon as I could.

Let me know,

Posey
