Emmy & Mac have both succesfully completed their Level Obedience class through the Lawrence Jayhawk Kennel Club in Lawrence, KS. Out of the nine dogs in the class Mac was the best & Emmy was as good if not better than any other of the dogs there. Mac was a little older, 2 1/2, & already knew several commands so he had a head start. We are going to reinforce this training for a couple of months then find a Level 2 course this summer with the goal of a Rally-O class in the fall. Rally-O looks like a lot of fun especially for people who can't spend quite enough time (or money) for the more intense trials. If either or both show a strong aptitude for it who knows though we may go on.

We also want to work in a Confomation Class for Emmy as she may have some potential there too. There are some dogs in her blooodlines that have had some success. We mainly want the experience of showing at some of the smaller local shows just to see how it goes. Now to find that pair of shoes with two left feet!

CONGRATULATIONS MAC & EMMY!!! Of course they were the best, they were probably the only Cairns there! It's great that you are able to spend this time together with Mac & Emmy, you all no doubt really enjoy it, and it will only strengthen your bond with them. Good luck in your future training!
