Advice with eye medication/ separating dogs

We're still having a problem with my poor Winnie's eye ulcer. First we had to use an antibacterial ointment , when that didn't work it was surgery to keep her eye closed for 12 days hoping it would heal. Didn't work so now we're back to another kind of ointment only this stuff is thick and really hard to get inside her poor little eye. Winnie is one tough cookie...She's been wearing her cone and been kept isolated from Madison, the puppy but I'm starting to get depressed over this whole ordeal. The next step will be with an eye specialist and maybe some kind of laser surgery. It's so sad because our weather is getting nice and I want my 2 dogs to play together outside and watch them terrorize my gardens.
