My 11 week old cairn is mouthing more and with more force, is this a normal thing?

[wags]

For the first few weeks we had him, Wes acted like a wild animal. Heaven help you if you put your finger into his crate- You might not get it back. He was also that way about his pen.

And suddenly a couple of months later, overnight, he changed from a beast back into a good little dog. I could put my hole body into his crate or pen and he wouldn't care.
