If you live near Central FL and you want to see Cairns, you will get a chance the week of January 13-21. Sunday is the Central FL Cairn Terrier Speciality. The show is being held at Florida Classic Park 5360 Lockhart Road Brooksville, FL 34602

I am planning on making the trip so please look for me if you are there.

Brad-

I noticed that you changed your avatar, is that fine looking Cairn Haggis?

Yep, that's our boy before I let his coat go to seed.

That makes me feel better, as that I let Mett & Bratt go to seed!

Haggis is a very handsome Dog. I am learning to appreciate extremely well bred Cairn's.

Which Sunday is the Cairn Specialty, Sunday the 14th or Sunday the 21st? We're actually heading down to Florida on the 19th, so maybe I can talk DH into swinging by. We can take Packy, right, as long as he's leashed I assume.

It is the 14th but the shows continue so there is one on the 21st but I haven't gotten the time on that show yet. I will be in Fl but if I get a chance to go online I will send you a PM and let you know what time

Congratulations Liz & Harley! I wish we could have made it, we will be in Jacksonville, FL this coming weekend. Poor planning on my part, maybe we'll make it next time, my son's girlfriend is in the Tampa/St Pete area so it's a good reason to visit.

Congratulations Liz and Harley! I was hoping to make it to Brooksville being my parents live in Clearwater and I visit them often, but it didn't work out for me. Did you also enter Sugar this time? I'm sorry I missed it.

Yes Ms. Sugar was entered five of the eight days. She was the youngest in the Open Class, she was the smallest even though she meets standard she looks tiny compared to some of the Cairns..... She snapped at all the little bugs close to the ground two of the days and had everyone laughing even me. The last day she showed her heart out, really pretty and the judge kept looking at her. She did get moved up a couple of time so we got a couple of ribbons but no big win like her kid sister Harley.

I know she is the correct size and she has a good coat, good movement, a nice head and wonderful little tail set so I just have to be patient and wait, her time will come. She is pistol to show and keeps me on her toes. But she is what I want in my line so I will just enjoy the little victories like making it around the ring without snapping at a fly!

Of course one of the days Harley noticed her shadow and kept playing with it......I can honestly say my girls have fun in the ring!

HI Liz:

Congratulations on the win. I only get the jist of the basics in Confirmation points, so bare with me if this question sounds stupid, but did Harely earn any points for her win?

No points on Harley's win but we did get a wonderful award that I will cherish always. The only points I have so far are on Sugar she has 2 from a win many months back so we have a very long way to go! Although I do believe Harley will do well, she learned very quick how to work the ring!

Congrats on the win! Both Harley and Sugar are beautiful dogs!

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.
