I've occasionally gone into Live Chat on here, but I've been the only person in the room. However, I've just tried again and the format seems to have changed and I can't get in. I just keep getting the message:

Invalid Username or Password. Please try again.

Has anyone else tried to get into Live Chat?

I've gone in a few times, but nobody's there. Maybe we should set up a time to meet....like 9pm central time on Sunday nights??? Maybe if we have a set time, we can get a few folks to come in. Just a thought.... :D

I couldn't get in either...maybe it's because I use Mozilla?

No Elizabeth, I think its the new chat format. How do we contact Brad to ask him about it? Any ideas? And yes, the regular time thingy sounds good - except remember I'm in New Zealand and it might be 3am here LOL

I've never tried this live chat, but use to belong to one years ago on another forum about only children. That chat worked great because it was scheduled at 9 p.m. central time which was great for those of us in pacific and central time. I think a live chat would be great and hope we can pick a time so that all of us can chat.

Forgot about the time changes...lol! Maybe we could set up two sessions a week to fit everyone's needs?

Not sure how to get ahold of Brad, but he reads the messages on this forum every day so hopefully he will be able to let us know what to do.

Man, I feel so blonde.

OK let's wait for Brad to sort us out.

Yeah, the chat service provider changed something and broke it. I've had a trouble ticket in for a while but no response yet. I'll see if I can wake the dead. It's complicated because the service changed hands and it appears to be an uneasy alliance between the forum software vendor and the chat vendor. I paid through November out of pocket, so it's peevesome to me, even though up to now nobody really used it.

Also, topic moved to forum support :P

Cheers Brad, we'll wait for a posting from you to tell us if and when it's up & going again.

I would also be interested in visiting the chat. Many times in the beginning of my visits here, I would check the chat room and it would be empty. Mark me down as a interested party!

See, it only needed one person to mention Chat and there ya go :D

I saw that chat was running, but everytime I check....no one is there. I even went in and hung around for a minute or two by myself thinking that someone else online might check it out. I think we definitely will have to post a good time for some of us to meet in there. Brad, are you aware of times when more of us tend to be online in the site or do you even have statistics such as that?

Naw, I don't have stats like that. You can sort of see who's done something on the site in the last fifteen minutes using the 'who's online' at the bottom of the front page, but nothing tracks that over time. As near as I can tell, the site is busiest in the morning. Being on the Pacific coast, I know I always wake up to a lot of posts (and the odd bit of spam) each morning.

There was a suggestion up-thread to try 9:00 pm Central (at least of the USA time zones - might be rough for our international members). I've seen other forums post a 'meet me in chat' topic to set up a specific chat a day or so in advance, or even later in the same day.

I think I suggested once trying on the hour at 8:00 for EACH time zone, on the idea that there would at least be a few chances each evening to bump into someone. The odds of finding someone randomly at 17 minutes past the hour or whatever seem slim-to-none.
