George 'n' Gracie
We made it through the very loud 4th of July. George was a nervous wreck. He was so exausted from running and barking by the time the noise was over I was really worried about him. Gracie on the other hand just looked at him like he was nuts! I tried holding him and talking softly to him, puppy massage didn't work either. Do any of you have to use tranquilizers? Do you have any other ideas? I was so worried about George. I hated to see him so upset. Thanks in advance!
Guest
I read somewhere (Maybe here) that ambient noise or music would help. Of course some areas have more noise than others. Thankfully all the firecrackers were at least ten miles away from my house. I am now thinking of a place I used to live. Thunderclaps were so loud, it was like having someone stand behind you and pop balloons. I don't know if ambient noise would help that. My Grandmother used to put cotton in her ears.
