Smaller size or resolution or trim to shorter run time are about all you can do to make it smaller

To be honest the forum does not handle video well natively, although it handles embedded video nicely. In addition videos tend to be very large which bumps me to more expensive plans.  The best thing for video is to upload it to YouTube (free and can handle extremely large files - hours long, even) and then paste the link here — the forum then displays and plays the video just as if it were here locally.

A future update may make it more practical to upload video here directly, but for the  time being I strongly recommend YouTube which was literally built to host video.
