Help! Problem with belly band

Can anyone recommend a product/type of insert to use with a belly band? The ones I used to use don’t seem to be available and the recent purchases don’t seem to do as good a job with absorption. Thanks!

Looking in our pants drawer I see that we were mostly using Always Ultra-Thin (without wings) sanitary pads. There are some other thicker ones in there but I can't tell from the packaging what brand. Whatever they were, they were the kind without wings.

I used a belly band with Angus when he was young and unreliable when out visiting. Poise has no wings and various levels of thickness.
