Hand stripper in CT

Lauren Plage

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, New to this forum so excuse me if I have duplicated a question. Just got another Cairn (fifth one over 40 years) and I want to preserve his beautiful coat. Are there any hand strippers in or near Connecticut that know what they are doing?

Thanks, Lauren

Good to hear. If your breeder is not close or won't help, pre-COVID I'd have suggested going to a dog show and talking to exhibitors of the double-coated terrier breeds to get some local recommendations.  For more email/telephone oriented contacts I'd suggest asking around with other breeders (or local clubs) to see who takes on grooming in their area. https://cairnterrier.org/index.php/Breeders/list-by-state The breeders listed for CT all know what they're doing. If they don't take on grooming themselves they may have trusted recommendations.
