Guest
Just in case our puppy had a tendency toward hypoglycemia we took him to the vet where we found out he was more HYPERglycemic. His blood sugar reading was 127. Normal ranges from 60- 110. The vet said the 127 reading was not a concern with a puppy. But I AM concerned. Hypo and hyper-glycemia are two sides of the same coin- a problem with carbohydrate metabolism. Do you think it possible that our puppy will develop juvenile diabetes? Thanks. Guest
What are you feeding him? I have been told by several people that Eukenuba Small Breed Puppy food is the best. Some others have high sugars.
Guest
did you hear anything about iams? At the breeder he was on eukanuba and iams and they gave us a free sample of iams and said it was good enough. I was concerned after a while and tried people grade doggy health kibble. At first he liked it. Then I realized there was no behavioral difference whether he ate the doggy health food or iams. Thank you for your suggestion. I may try eukanuba in the future.
