bradl
An upcoming software update will remove support for gravatars so I'm getting ready by disabling gravatar support now. If you don't know what a gravatar is you probably aren't using one and this will not have any impact on your forum experience If you are using a gravatar, your profile photo will simply revert to a letter image as the default. You can of course upload a custom profile image the same as always. I'm a bit bummed because I *do* use gravatars; on the other hand, the change is to improve forum performance and page load speeds and I'm all for that. Quote What Is Gravatar? An "avatar" is an image that represents you online—a little picture that appears next to your name when you interact with websites. A Gravatar is a Globally Recognized Avatar. You upload it and create your profile just once, and then when you participate in any Gravatar-enabled site, your Gravatar image will automatically follow you there. Gravatar is a free service for site owners, developers, and users. It is automatically included in every WordPress.com account and is run and supported by Automattic. Quote CAIRNTALK: Questions?
