Toys for Chewing - What lasts more than 5 minutes?

So we have two terriers in the house now.  Divot, our cairn, and now Rue, our Wheaten Terrier puppy.  Boy oh boy, can these two destroy toys in seconds flat!  Divot LOVES toys, but it's hard to keep them around when he destroys them so fast.  The only one we've had success with was the ball recommended on here years ago--Planet Dog hollow glow ball.

So hit me up with non-ball toys, please!  They destroy ropes.  They destroy leather.  They destroy KONGS!  They show zero interest in Nylabones.

Help?

Something like a Tuffy ring?    I have a couple that have lasted for 5 years now.  They get bored but then all of a sudden go back to them.

Also, for a water fetch toy.   https://www.chewy.com/kong-wubba-classic-dog-toy-color/dp/38584.   However, I don't think I would leave them alone with it.  It seems pretty tough though.

We have a 11 month old Cairn chewer, Katie.

She is our latest pup after a successions of Westies.

Furniture legs, shoes, clothes, glasses, pillows and cardboard or paper etc...

Not too interested in the toys except for Kong snake, balls and a Zany ball.

Zany dog toy  is a rope attached to a hard ball. The ball has batteries and when turned on it twitches and rolls around. Katie loves to tug at it and bring it to us to toss. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it is difficult  to change the batteries. google Zany dog toy and you can view a youtube.

Someone on the forum suggested the original  Himalayan Dog Chew.

I was very skeptical and cautious having an deep aversion to rawhide or chewable type items. Tried a thick bully stick and that was too scary!

The Himalayan dog chew comes in different sizes and we chose the 35lb & under. Given only under supervision, it last about 1 week. When it is down to 2 inches we take it away.

Surprising little dogs, but BIG teeth!!!! JAWS!!!

Cheers!

Welcome back!  I was thinking of you just the other day and wondering where you've been!

Thank you!  Life has been busy.  I always miss this place when I'm away, though!

We decided to let Daisy have at it on her toys. Acceptable sacrifice, in the place of shoes, table legs, etc., and other things that are on her rap sheet.

Outside of something metal, don't know what can survive a Cairn on a gnawing mission!
