Update Pending

Another fairly significant update to the forum software has been made available and we'll be updating in the relatively near future (within a couple weeks most likely, if not sooner).

The update appears like it may have some minor effects on themes (colors, layout, and such).

There will also be some new or changed features that are just part of how it all works. We'll discover and get used to those together :)

Typically after an update there will be a period where a few things are broken or there may be new settings I haven't yet found and set correctly — rest assured I'll be busily trying to find and fix anything I can. You can help by reporting bugs or asking questions in the Forum Support subforum.

As always, thank you for your patience, good humor, and terrier-like persistence as we adapt and adopt.

I have to say I like the new look better, much better. It is easier to follow things with the eye.

Le sigh.

Well this is a tiny update (from 4.2.1 → 4.2.2) so as long as it actually completes without crashing there should be no disorienting changes for us as users. I will do this one at some random time when I see there's no one logged in. If you see a temporary server error, it should clear in minutes.

Because "4.2" was a big change from "4.1" there will be a lot of these little point releases over the coming weeks (4.2.x → 4.2.y) etc. as the developers find and squash bugs. I won't be announcing all those little incremental updates but be advised that absent an announcement the updates should be fast and minor.
