Fake Lola

Hi all. Lola here. So I was out in my yard this morning, minding my own beeswax, just doing my morning inspection, when out of the corner of my eye I caught a white blur. I went to the gate to investigate. There stood a reflection of - ME!  Whaaaaat?  It wasn't, of course, because there are no mirrors in our yard. It was another dog, looking into MY yard and who looked just like ME! 

"Oh look, Lola! Another Westie!" my daddy said. Um, really? The unmitigated GALL!  *I* am the only Westie in these parts. Who was this intruder, I demanded to know, making my demand louder and louder while Traitor Daddy oooh'd and ahhh'd over the intruder. Traitor Daddy said the dog's name is Sam, but I shall call him, 'Fake Lola'.  He is older than I am, and bigger, and slower. He was also wearing a skirt!  (I don't have time for such frivolities.)  I hope other people don't mistake him for ME, because I am fast, furious and skirt-less!  I wouldn't want people to think I have lost my edge!  I don't have a 'Beware of the Westie' sign on my gate for nuttin! (Even though in the pic it is smiling and wearing a goofy-looking kilt!)

Anyway, I gave Fake Lola a cursory nod, then proceeded to tell him not to be Fake Lola-ing all over the neighborhood, damaging my rep. Daddy later told me that Fake Lola was only visiting his grandparents. Well, thank God for small miracles, is all I can say.

Lola, Rosie here. The very nerve ! I would have given him a for what not (rear end in his face as I walk away, tail held high). I have never met another Scottie....is there another one and if so as special as I am? Ignore him Lola! Your turf is not big enough to share with a pretender. Humffffffff.

That must of been a real startle.  I feel your dilemma Lola and then on top of it all dad acknowledged the impostor. I hope the visit is short because you will have a lot of work to do reclaiming all the territory that this Sam character marked.  The nerve.

Thanks everyone, for having my back. I have been working hard all day to reinforce my street cred!  Fake Lola was out in his grandparents' garden and some girls came by to talk to him. So I turned around and wiggled my butt and showed them how I sit pretty and they started talking to me. As it should be. I even said 'hi' to Fake Lola because Daddy said I have to be neighborly. Just so he knows his place, all will be okay.
