Kelly and Prissy both itching

Kelly and Prissy have both been itching a lot. Enough to keep us awake at night because of their scratching. Nothing the vet had done helped.

This past fall it got so much worse. I felt so sorry for them. It was worse with Kelly as she was scratching so much she was losing fur and causing sores.

I started to suspect that it was yeast because we had a really wet summer, fall, and winter. I know that oregano is an anti fungal because a doctor once told me it was good for yeast infections (in moderation of course). I started shaking a couple of shakes of dried oregano on the girls food.

It was amazing. I started seeing results in 2 days. It has now been three weeks and I rarely see them scratching and Kelly's skin is almost completely healed. Not only that but their energy level has been up as well. I am decreasing how often I put it on their food slowly. Next week I'll only be giving it at one meal every other day.

Hopefully they won't have to suffer with the itches, any more.

Wow! How wonderful that the oregano worked for you! It's awful when they start scratching at night. The itching must really torment them!

(I hope your house didn't end up smelling like a Take-Out Pizzeria)!?
