Cairn Talk uses Groups to manage features and functionality. For example, guests can read nearly everything but cannot create new content by replying or commenting. Here is an overview of the major differences in account types. ← GROUPS → Features & Functions guest member member+ supporter posts, comments, polls, events, resources read create post edit window – 2 hours 24 hours attachment total – 100MB 250MB 1000MB attachment per-item max – 10MB 15MB 25MB topic tags – create own edit all PM (personal message) conversations – 250 unlimited PM attachments – yes gallery albums – 5 10 gallery per-image max – 10MB 15MB gallery per-movie max – 25MB 50MB blog read read, comment create signatures – 1 link 5 links unlimited links profiles – yes likes – yes activity stream default multiple, customizable members online – yes ads yes no Notes: Members are automatically promoted to Member+ after posting 100 times Supporters are subscribers who've made a financial commitment to the forum's operation Newly registered member accounts have several restrictions which lift automatically after a small amount of participation.
