Why Register & Member Groups

Thinking about joining? Already a member and wondering what those group names mean? 

Cairn Talk uses Groups to manage features and functionality. For example, guests can read nearly everything  but cannot create new content by replying or commenting. If you're visiting as a guest, register to participate in the community. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our mutual interest in the Cairn Terrier.

Here is an overview of the major differences in account types.

Notes:

• Members are automatically promoted to Member+ after posting 100 times
• Supporters are subscribers who've made a financial commitment to the forum's operation
• Newly registered member accounts have several restrictions which lift automatically after a small amount of participation. This is done to reduce "drive-by" spamming.
• Features, functionality, permissions and limits subject to change without notice

I tried to sign up...no success.  Says I'm already registered.  I guess I'm behind the curve...

Yes, you couldn't post at all if you weren't already a member  The info to the left of your posts (or in your profile) will show your group.
