August 31 is my last day of employment with current job,

So sorry that you have to go through this, Tara. Ive been in your position in the past so I know how lousy it feels. I took stop-gap jobs and also did volunteer work at those times because it was important for me to have work-related routines, and also, being around others, while having responsibilities to carry out kept my mind busy and also gave me a feeling of accomplishment. This wasn't a magical solution, but it helped.

Keeping my fingers crossed that something turns up for you!
