This morning I saw a woman at my complex coming out of the elevator with her dog around 6:30 a.m. She usually walks her dog around 5:45 a.m., so I asked her, "Oh, you're running late this morning?" She replied that yes, her dog had made her chase her around the apartment all morning to put her leash on, so there would be no T.V. privileges for the dog tonight. I know her; this woman was serious.

Bwaaaaaaa!  "That's NO "Dancing with the Stars" or "Grey's Anatomy" for you, missy!"  Haha (Can you tell I've been gone from the USA too long? I don't even know what the popular shows are anymore. )

You can't go anywhere here and be a part of the conversation if you don't watch "The Walking Dead" or "Game of Thrones", which I don't.

Ah yes, I have heard of both. When you see that woman again, you might ask her just what programs her naughty doggie had to give up tonight.

I wonder if her dog has blocked sites just in case it manages to get a hold of her cell phone or computer!  Perhaps " Dogs go wild" or "Canines in Vegas....what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas".

Hmm... Nikki had a naughty dream a couple days ago. He woke himself up with his movements, and he wasn't running... Maybe he's been watching tv or surfing my iPad when I'm not on it.

"Dancing With The Stars" and "Gray's Anatomy" are still on. I'm not particularly fond of them or most of the other popular shows, but Nikki seems to like "Amazing Race."

Here is Gus exercising his TV privileges. He watched a nature show about polar bears for at least 30 minutes with more focused attention than lots of kids I know!

Addie only pays attention to the TV when a few things happen:

 

1) A baby cries. She runs around trying to find the baby, staring at me accusingly for not getting up and doing something to help. 

 

2) When watching the TV show Psych, and the character Gus says, "C'mon son!" she looks at the TV with her head quirked to the side. 

 

3) When Deadliest Catch is on and they beep out the swear words, Addie huffs and either leaves the room or puts her head in the corner of her bed. 

 

4) When she's frustrated I'm not paying attention to her, so she walks over and turns off the DVD player. 

 

Otherwise, the TV doesn't exist for her. I'm kinda sad, because it'd be nice to have a TV buddy.

DH watches action movies in his man cave, and Oban definitely does not like loud noises or things that blow up.  I am in total agreement.
