josie&holly
Do not normally watch these things on TV but have found myself doing so as they have recruited 40 Scotties to lead the athletes in! Some of them walk very smartly, others are more reluctant and have seen one being carried! Found this nice story http://m.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/11360442.Archie_the_Scottie_dog_to_appear_at_Commonwealth_Games_tonight___and_he_s_got_his_own_Twitter_account/ Edited July 23, 2014 by josie&holly 1 Quote www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk
bradl
Any parade is improved by the addition of some terriers 1 Quote CAIRNTALK: Questions? Sam I Am
Woof ...Rosie here. yup aren't we a handsome pack of terriers! I would probably have to be carried out because my mum calls me a weenie...I don't know what that means except ...hot dog? I like those. But Cairns are our cousins. We are very closely related so I am wondering where the Cairns are in the parade? If Jock was with me I would be very brave because he always was. Perhaps if mum one day gets another Jock I will be braver and then we both can be in a parade. I am very fierce if someone comes near our house....but not so much when I hear the garbage truck. Mum here. Sure Rosie sure....what happens if there is a garbage truck in the parade? josie&holly
The media have all mentioned the delightful Scotties part in the event today! Lots of tweets about them. http://metro.co.uk/2014/07/24/how-adorable-scottish-terriers-stole-the-show-at-glasgow-2014-opening-ceremony-4808524/ Quote www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk

Sam I Am
So stupid! Why can't everyone just get along. There are things other religions and groups of people that I find their customs not my cup of tea but I don't get insulted and want to do every one in. Sigh.....how could anyone find a Scottie anything but adorable. 1 Quote Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened. - Anatole France Adventures with Sam &Rosie
hheldorfer
That is utter nonsense. It is an excuse to complain, that's all. I wouldn't expect all Scotsmen to adopt American customs if I was visiting their country.
