Dempsy's Mom
Last night I was out mowing around the grain bins. We have a swiveling John Deere lawn mower that has a platform for your feet. I was mowing away and when I looked up I saw "the wonder dog" trotting my way. I wondered what was he doing out here. He never comes out here and he never comes around the lawn mower. I finished and was driving the mower back to the house. I still had some weeds in back of the house to mow. The dog was just in the way constantly. I stopped the mower - asked him "What's up?" - he immediately jumped up on the platform and laid between my feet - he had no intention of moving. It was then that I saw the lightening in the distance. So I have another dog that is scared of storms. OK then - hang on. And we finished about 10 more minutes of mowing. He was totally content as we whipped around the trees and went back-n-forth. It must of been quite a sight. I was wishing I had my camera. Here was this rather large dog - riding with me on the lawn mower. Yup - we have lost control over the farm, the animals are now calling the shots. PS - I load Demps and Els up every morning for the cows. He runs out there with us. Everybody gets out and they run around and when it comes time to leave and while I am loading up Els and Demps .... you guessed it ... he positions himself in the front seat. It is now his right. 6 Quote Elsie, Max, Meeko & Lori
Malcolm's Dad
He sure is learning from Demps and Elsie. Well now you have another helper, or should I say assistant farm manager?
Sam I Am
That must have been some sight...you and Wonder cutting the grass. How old do you think he is? Dempsy's Mom
Well - his teeth are bad. He has a little greying around the eyes. I was thinking around 7. I will ask the vet when I take him in for his shots. Quote Elsie, Max, Meeko & Lori
