Normal gait for Cairns

Bonnie

Recommended Posts

I am interested in the normal walking gait for Cairns. Our 5 month old male seems to have an exaggerated rolling gait and I have never had a dog walk quite like that. His rear end really swings back and forth. He has no problems or pain, runs and jumps just fine, but I would like some input from other owners. MacDuff's owner, Bonnie

Hi Bonnie:

We have a five-month old too. And I think I know what you mean about their walk. Mine strutts as he walks-like he is king of all he surveys.

He swings back and forth in his rear is that what you mean by roll as they walk. My daughter has had three Cairns so I am use to their walk.

If in doubt, I always talk to my vet.
