tlwtheq
Some of the Cairns entered are ten years old or beyond. http://www.westminsterkennelclub.org/breedentries.php?breed=cairn Quote Max and Nelly
Autumn & Lola
Hmmm, most of them are quite mature, aren't they? Why is that? Do Cairns not perform as well when they are younger? Are Cairns, as a breed, or terriers, as a group, normally older in the show ring than say Poodles or Retrievers? (My knowledge of show dogs is limited to the movie "Best in Show". )
tlwtheq
Someone just pointed out to me that birthdates were listed as 0000 rather than 2000. Who knows what it means? Quote Max and Nelly
Autumn & Lola
Ah... I read that as "2000". Silly me. I thought - good for you, old boy - 13! Maybe their ages were unavailable at the time of registration? Actually that wouldn't make sense for a registered dog. Yup, who knows. sanford
The ages of those cairns really made me laugh! I guess it just confirms the suspicions most of us have re our cairns... they really are slow to mature, (to put it tactfully)! If that is really the case, I can just imagine how exhausted the trainers must be after years and years and years of training and repetition! Definitely not for this cairn-owner!
