Speed Groom

In the spirit of onesojourner's Quick Stripping Video, here's another. This one is a time-lapse, 30 minutes in 3 minutes.

My goals were two-fold. One, get the long hairs off of Dundees ears (my feeling is that velvet ears poking out of the head furnishings is a key contributor to Cairn expression); two, um, play with a time-lapse app on my phone :P

I thought about whether I should have included before/after snapshots, but decided better not to. The reason being that other than the ears being tidied up (which I can consider "done" for now) "after" is sort of meaningless. The head isn't done; the legs aren't done; the jacket isn't done; the tail isn't done; the chest isn't done; the undercarriage wasn't touched. Another day, another pass, and each of those areas may get a few minutes attention. There really is no "done"! It's all just a process. The areas I touched are better than they were, but not as good as they might get. You know, if I ever get off my butt and give the poor boy another 30 minutes of grooming :P

See now Bradl you could do a whole series of videos with step by step instructions for us newbies...

Haven't watched the video yet but I wanted to make a quick comment.

I haven't had the time to even open our new mars cost king 16 yet...

Oh heavens no ... that would be malpractice. Anyone who knows me locally would fall over laughing (or possibly sobbing) at the idea of me offering grooming instruction. I'm fortunate that most of my local Cairn friends seem trapped on facebook and are scarcely aware of my secret life on the forum :ninja2:

However I don't mind embarrassing myself a bit to make a point that really, anyone can do this.

Brad, I think you are an excellent groomer, especial when put beside of my grooming ability's.

I loved the video. Don't you wish we could move that fast in real life. I might get done with Kelly's grooming if I could. I also might get my house clean. haha

First of all, Dundee is TOO cute!!!

Second, I love seeing the other members of your pack wandering around....

My grooming skills pale in comparison, so it's always nice to see a well-groomed Cairn.

I also was watching the other dogs peek in to see what was happening. Once they saw the grooming they took off pretty fast!

I've had so much great help learning to groom Angus and now I just need the wonderful speed you have with Dundee   and I'll be all set.

Really fun to watch. He is so cute - and his buddies too out there in the yard.
