Pingber Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Well, I guess I post an album of photos, and my photos are too big (500K limit?) ANyone out there tell me how to post multiple photos? Phil
bradl Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Hi and welcome! Most photos can be resized to 100k each or even smaller (sometimes much smaller) at a size of 600 pixels wide or so. That should allow you to attach 5 or so photos per post. (There might also be a limit of five per post, regardless of size). The solution to that is to post a reply to your own topic with more photos in the next post. If you hotlink your photos from an image host (photobucket, flickr, etc.) rather than attaching them (see Forum Support for some image-related topics) they can be any size you like ... no limit (although if they are full-resolution giant files people on slow connections will curse you :-) and don't count against your total attachment limit of 5MB. One way to shrink file size down without making it dimensionally smaller is to save it at a lower JPG quality setting. Often a setting of around 70-80% makes a big file size difference with scarcely any visual degradation. Here's one online site that lets you resize photos one at a time for free: JPEGmini. There are others. I just tried it on an 800x600 photo and it reduced from 118KB original to 67KB. If you have questions, be sure to ask here in Forum Support.
