Lynn in TN
That was the best thing she could have done with a black bear. I grew up around black bears, many times I walked up on one or they walked up on us. Leave them alone, don't feed them anything, Do Not Run from them, if they attack fight back. I find them to be the most amazing animals because they seem harmless but yet they are so big. Once my Mom and I were burning brush and one came up behind us, it just acted like it was a normal every day thing and walked right by us. I would like to say that we were not afraid but we were. That has happened a lot. I use to hear them outside my bedroom window at night. I'm glad the lady saved her little pooch.
