Worming?

Does anyone here do worming on a scheduling or regular basis? I know sometimes stool specimens can miss the diagnosis of worms.

Madison was spitting up there for awhile and because she was hanging out near the bird feeders (where the neighbors cat stalks and the mice and chipmunks play) we started her on a worming medication. Since that was done, she's been fine.

I got rid of the birdfeeders :( because it was just too much temptation and too much mess around them.

How easy is it for dogs to pick up worms in their own yard? I don't know about you all but I find the idea of worms living in my girls absolutely disgusting and I want them gone!!
