cairnrescueleague
I can't seem to upload the new pictures . It says they're too big, even though I downsized them using a program I have.
Nikki
if you upload your photos to image shack or photobucket they will resize the photos for you. bradl
Usually the error message gives particulars - for instance saying how many KB the image is, or what the limit is. What does the error message say? Also, if you are uploading attachments, it may be that you've run out of total attachment space. There is a limit as to how many photos (in terms of cumulative size) can be stored under any one account. Once you reach that limit, you have to start deleting attachments, using the My Controls -> Manage Your Attachments section. This is a bummer because deleted attachments will disappear from the original post that referenced them. One reason I strongly recommend image hosting as preferable to attachments. Google Picasaweb is free with generous storage, and permits hotlinking. There are some other photo hosts listed in the sticky in Forum Support. CAIRNTALK: Questions? bradl
Update: I bumped up the "per post" allowable upload size to 500KB. If uploading multiple attachments into a post, that limit is the combined total file size of all attachments in one post. I don't want to set the limit too high because I'd rather someone get a warning about the size of their uploads than have them accidentally (and silently) use up their entire 10MB attachment quota in just a couple of posts.
