Thinning shears

Recommended Posts

My Celia is 15 months old and I am stripping her for the first time. I know what the thinning shears are for, but what is the correct use? I currently have the rubber fingers, the coat stripper, and the shears. Thanks! :surrender:

We use the thinning scissors to shorten the hair on the underbelly & genital areaa, and on the inside of the rear legs. Those are areas that are sensitive and, from what our dogs say, painful to hand strip. Usually I just sit and hold the dog on my lap, with his back against me to expose his belly, and my DW does the actual scissoring. Our dogs are really very good during this process.
