Earth Dog

I am interested in training my dog for the earth dog competion (probably not to compete, more as something fun that we can do) but the training club here (Champaign, IL) does not have any courses. Can any one suggest a good book or give me some pointers on how to get started with this.

My pup has already been through basic and advances training and is nearly ready for the CGC (if he would just sit still when some one pets him... silly pup). We love training together and may start train agility at some point too.
